# Data schemas

Named snapshot shapes for crypto and financial data. Send one of these as `data` and the narration, stat cards and stills line up without prompt engineering.

`from-data` accepts any JSON object. These four shapes are the ones the engine, the show kits and the examples are tuned for. Use the key names as written: money keys end in `Usd`, percentages in `Pct`, and image keys are `imageUrl` or `iconUrl`, so the fact formatter and the still picker do the right thing.

| Schema | Buyer | Shows built on it |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| [TokenSnapshot](/monkeygun/data-schemas/token-snapshot.md) | Exchanges, launchpads, token pages | Movers Report, Spotlight, Roast My Bag, listing promos |
| [PoolSnapshot](/monkeygun/data-schemas/pool-snapshot.md) | Yield protocols, DeFi aggregators | Rate Split, Beat Your Bank |
| [WalletSnapshot](/monkeygun/data-schemas/wallet-snapshot.md) | Exchanges (portfolio), wallets, analytics | Bag Check, Wallet Watch, Whale Alert |
| [FlowSnapshot](/monkeygun/data-schemas/flow-snapshot.md) | Data providers, on-chain intelligence | Smart Money Alert, Dumb vs Smart, Who Got Rich |

Every value you send is quotable and nothing else is. If a field is null, leave it out rather than sending `null`; the narrator will not mention it.

## Common fields

| Key                                | Type       | Notes                                                         |
| ---------------------------------- | ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `asOf` | ISO string | Stamped on screen when the show's compliance rules ask for it |
| `source` | string | Named in the CTA or disclaimer, e.g. "Data by Nansen" |
| `imageUrl` (top level on the call) | URL | Opening still |
| `iconUrl` / `imageUrl` on items | URL | One still per item, in order, after the opening still |
| `url`                              | URL        | Link shown on the share page                                  |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://monkey-gun.gitbook.io/monkeygun/data-schemas/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
